Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan (RPAP)

RPAP was established in early 1991 and provides a comprehensive program for education, recruitment and retention of physicians in rural practice.

RPAP support for physicians in practice outside of metro Edmonton and Calgary includes an impressive array of skills enhancement initiatives such as its Enrichment Program, GEMS initiative, as well as CME support, honoraria to preceptors conducting assessments of new physicians, an awards program and community recruitment and retention grants.
