Medical StudentsMedical students considering rural practice as a Family Physician or other general specialist can access a variety of RPAP initiatives, funding and support to raise their awareness and to increase their exposure to rural medicine.
Opportunities available to medical students in rural Alberta include, but are not limited to: RPAP's rural community exposure and medical skills weekends, weekend shadowing experiences, the core Family Medicine clerkship rotation, and rural and regional electives in Family Medicine or one of the other general specialties.
