  1. Weekend Shadowing Opportunities in rural centers are always available! Contact RPAP by email at shadowing@rpap.ab.ca or see the Shadowing Programs section of this site for details.
  2. SRPC Rural and Remote Medicine Conference - This conference, which showcases rural and remote medicine and allows an opportunity for rural physicians to meet and discuss important issues, will be held in Toronto, April 22-24, 2010. The ever popular medical students/residents social evening partly sponsored by RPAP will occur Friday, 23 April 2010 @ 17:00 hours.
Some of our recent events:
  1. AMSCAR (Annual Medical Students Conference and Retreat) was held in Banff on 15-17 January 2010.  RPAP and other exhibitors  offered a number of skill workshops - IV starts, IUD insertion ,etc..
  2. RPAP Clinical Skills Day - This year, the RPAP Clinical Skills Day was held in Hinton, AB on 21 March 2009.  The event was hosted by Dr. Michael Caffaro and his colleagues.
  3. Rural Alberta North Residency Program - On 3 April 2009, Dr. Brenda Millar, Co-Director of RAN Grande Prairie Program shared information about the RAN program.
  4. "They Never told Me About THIS !" was the rivoting talk delivered by Dr. Alan Garbutt from the AMA Section of Rural Medicine on 7 April 2009.
