Welcome Class of 2011. Rural Medicine Interest Group (RMIG) students representatives are:
Lindsay Connolly, Pascaline DeCaigny, Amber Jorgensen, Robert Pomerleau, and Jonathan Somerville. Class of 2011 have a class name of Kakapo.
The RPAP Medical Students' Initiative Coordinator is Rosemary Burness (Rosemary.Burness@rpap.ab.ca) She is always available by email to help you set up a RPAP sponsored rural activity.

- Weekend Shadowing Opportunities in rural centres are always available! Contact RPAP by email at shadowing@rpap.ab.ca or see the Shadowing Programs section of this site for details.
- MDCN 440 - This 40 hour elective is available in a rural location. Contact UofC Distributed Learning and Rural Initiatives for help with finding a rural location and a preceptor.
Some of our recent events:
- SRPC Rural and Remote Medicine Conference - This conference, which
showcases rural and remote medicine and allows an opportunity for rural
physicians to meet and discuss important issues, was held in
Toronto, April 22-24, 2010. The ever popular medical students/residents
social evening partly sponsored by RPAP occurred Friday, 23 April 2010
@ 17:00 hours.
- RPAP Clinical Skills Day - This year, the RPAP Clinical Skills Day was held in Sundre, AB on 27 February 2010.
- AMSCAR (Annual Medical Students Conference and Retreat) was held in Banff on 15-17 January 2010. RPAP and other exhibitors offered a number of skill workshops - IV starts, IUD insertion ,etc..
