As of January of this year, there is a new process to manage how skilled persons with experience apply to immigrate to Canada.  This new system is called Express Entry.

The first step is to fill out an online profile including details on language test scores, Educational Credential Assessment, and their work experience.  There is no cost to complete and submit an Express Entry profile.

Candidates will be ranked against others in the pool according to their profile.  CIC will issue invitations to apply for top ranked candidates on a regular basis.

To learn more of this new process to come to Canada as a skilled worker and watch a video, please see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp
